A Women’s Wellness Retreat (Fully Booked)

(A weekend of nature, yoga, massage, delicious food and more to reset and rejuvenate the mind, body, and spirit)

Location: Lapito House, Myponga SA.

Date: Saturday, October 9th – Sunday, October 10th 2021

Upon booking, guests receive via email a detailed overview of the weekend, our menu, what to bring and a map of our location. Lara will also be in touch with regards to any dietary requirements and health and wellbeing needs, concerns, or interests. Care will be taken to ensure all needs and interests are catered for.

  • One night’s accommodation at the tranquil Lapito House

  • 1 x 1.5hour hand-building pottery workshop (includes the provision of clay, tools, and also kiln firing of work)
  • 1 x 1.5hour gentle flow + restorative yoga class led by Kristin from Fleurieu Yoga
  • 1 x 1hour wholefood creative cooking workshop with Lara (followed by sitting down to enjoy a feast of a lunch)
  • Bushwalks (We will enjoy a short bushwalk on the 116-acre property on Saturday and a long hike through the property and along the Heysen Trail on Sunday)
  • 1 x 30min massage provided by Remedial Massage Therapist Elicia Prophet, who is based in Mount Barker but also provides massage and other wellness treatments at Clarity Wellness, a beautiful massage and wellness centre in North Adelaide. She feels strongly connected to women’s health, pregnancy and the effect of our emotional state on the body. By using relaxation and remedial techniques, Elicia works to calm the nervous system, relieve pain, headaches and muscle tension.
  • Your own journal and pen (These will be a gift to you upon arrival, journals will be handmade locally using 100% recycled paper)
  • Self-reflection, meditation and mindfulness practice and learning

We have TWO Day retreats set to run in November this year. Both days will be very similar to our May Reset Day retreat however each day will differ such that guests can attend both and enjoy a different experience and learning on each day

Reset Day

A reset day was held on Sunday, May 30th. You can find photos from the day on Instagram and Facebook.

An overview of the day:

Nature. Yoga. Space. Nourishment.

Lara and her friend and colleague Rosie Dunstan (an Adelaide-based Mindset Coach) hosted this day retreat together at Lapito House, the beautifully renovated farmhouse set amongst the rolling hills of Myponga on the Fleurieu Peninsula. The day consisted of:

  • Hiking
  • Mindfulness Practice
  • Yoga Flow
  • Journaling and Reflection
  • Delicious Food

Location: Lapito House, 475 Nunn Road, Myponga 5202. 

Nature immersion and movement: 

One of the simplest gifts we can give ourselves is to spend time in nature. We started our day with a stunning hike along Wild Dog creek, and onto the Heysen trail to a waterfall, stopping to enjoy morning tea before returning to the house taking in the views of the rolling hills. This walk takes ~1.5hrs, there are some hills, so it’s good for getting the heart rate up a little, but it’s by no means difficult. 

Mindfulness Workshop:

Rosie then took us through a mindfulness workshop where we learnt about the benefits of this practice, and how to bring it into our daily routines. 

Self-reflection and Journaling:

After lunch, there was be the opportunity to follow a guided reflection exercise, self-directed journaling, or to take the time to simply enjoy the rarity of peace and quiet. 

Yoga Flow (75mins):

What better way to bring this all together than to be led through a yoga flow in these beautiful surroundings. Yes, please. This class was a treat!

Nourishment:

We enjoyed morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea carefully prepared by Lara and a talented Chef. Tea, coffee and cold refreshments were available throughout the day too. The delicious, nourishing menu was worth the drive in itself. 

This Reset Day offered the perfect opportunity to pause, disconnect, reconnect and rejuvenate the soul.

 

Our Winter 2-day Retreat

In August 2019, Lara hosted a restorative yet energizing retreat at Lapito House. Photos from the weekend can be found here. This particular retreat included time by the fire, a hike to a waterfall, a very special yoga class by Natalie (an Adelaide based Meditation and Vinyasa and Yin yoga teacher), a cooking workshop, a floristry workshop, a natural face mask and body scrub making workshop, journaling and delicious wholesome food.

  

 

 

Our Spring 2-day Retreat

In April 2019, Lara hosted a retreat for a small group of women at the beautifully tranquil Lapito House. You can find photos from our April weekend here. Our April retreat included a pottery workshop, a cooking workshop, walks, yoga, beautiful food, lots of wonderful conversation and self-reflection.
